Endoscopy System - Adult Data Dictionary Sample Screens Sample Reports

The adult endoscopy module facilitates the detailed data capture and reporting of all key endoscopic procedures:

  • Gastroscopy (OGD)
  • Colonoscopy
  • Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
  • ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde CholangioPancreatography)
  • Enteroscopy
  • Endosonography (Endoscopic Ultrasonography)
  • Endoscopic Therapeutic Treatments

The system is designed to be (and is in practice) used realtime in the treatment/investigation room. To achieve this goal the system provides highly comprehensive data capture, whilst enabling the input to be collected quickly. Our experience shows that clinicians are able to use of the system with minimal training and collect high quality complete information.

The output from the system meets the guidelines published by the British Society of Gastroenterology. The system automatically generates the procedural log book data described by the Joint Administrative Group (JAG) to demonstrate evidence of clinician procedural experience and competancy. The procedure summary report has been received favourably by general practitioners and hospital doctors who now receive comprehensive, legible information on every procedure carried-out, and typically within hours rather than days or weeks (as is often the case where a HICSS system is not used).

HICSS can import and index procedural images. These images can be displayed as part of the on-line patient record or printed or transferred into other media for teaching and other uses.
